Cotton Silk Tweed

Silk and cotton fibres come together in a perfect yarn for 'Fair Isle' knitting, the timeless tweed texture that is a must-have this summer. Ideal for multi-coloured, braided and diamond knitting, jacquard, openwork, which come to life in classically elegant garments.

**You will need only 3 balls of this yarn to make a sweater with a chest size of 42"/105 cm.

Our recommended tensions for Silk Tweed – 
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 3.75mm needles – therefore knits to an 8 ply but using 3.75mm needle.
or
23 sts and 31 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 3.50mm needles – firmer fabric but a nice fabric.
Depends on what you are making and which fabric you prefer.
